Cosmetology Program:

The objective of the Cosmetology program is to teach future salon professionals the fundamentals of cutting, styling, permanent waving, hair coloring, manicuring, skin care, and makeup. This course prepares graduates to pass the State Board exam, become a licensed Cosmetologist, and begin working in the Salon & Spa industry. Upon satisfactory completion of the Cosmetology program, the graduate will receive a Diploma.

Skin Care Therapy Program:

The objective of the Skin Care Therapy program is to prepare students with all of the fundamentals of skin care, facials, facial massage, hair removal, spa body basics, business aspects, product knowledge, and effective retailing. Graduates of this program will have the knowledge and skills to pass the State Board exam to become a licensed Esthetician and obtain employment in the Salon & Spa industry.

Teacher Training Program:

The objective of the Teacher Training program is to prepare students with all of the fundamentals of providing cosmetology instruction in a licensed, public, or private cosmetology school. Students of this course must possess a high school diploma or GED and must have their cosmetology license. The program prepares students with the knowledge and skills to pass the State Board exam to become a licensed Cosmetology Teacher and obtain employment in the cosmetology training industry.

Accreditation

Health and Style Institute is a licensed to operate as a Cosmetology School by the North Carolina State Board of Cosmetic Art Examiners and the Georgia Board of Cosmetology and is nationally accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts & Sciences (NACCAS). Health and Style Institute is authorized to participate with the U.S. Department of Education’s Title IV funding programs.
